Our ericaceous soil is a specially formulated compost aimed toward acid-soil-loving plants. It consists of compost and peat (which is naturally acidic) to create a rich soil mix for plants from the ericaceous family that thrive in this type of soil.

With a rich black colour and high organic content, this soil nurtures and encourages ericaceous plants to grow, allowing them to develop strong roots and healthy leaves. It also prevents nutrient deficiency in plants that struggle to grow in other types of soil.

How To Order

To order this soil, please get in touch with our office to discuss your requirements.

All bagged products purchased without turf will be delivered as a PM delivery unless we have confirmed otherwise. This is so turf and similar products are sent out on our first deliveries to ensure freshness.

When To Use

There are certain plants that have evolved away from woodland or heathland soils. Plants such as camellias, azaleas, and heathers no longer thrive in these conditions, preferring more neutral or acidic soils such as ericaceous. If you want to grow these types of plants with your garden or landscape project, we recommend creating a separate flower bed or individual pots that solely contain ericaceous soil.
