Returns and Cancellations Policy

At George Davies Turf LTD trading as George Davies Turf and Stone, we take pride in supplying high-quality landscaping supplies. We want our customers to be completely satisfied with their purchases, and we aim to make our returns and cancellations process as clear and straightforward as possible.

How do I return a faulty product?

Please note: returns are subject to our return policy which is detailed below.

  1. Contact the Customer Service Team on 01234 675 653 or 01727 634754 – Press Option 2 to register your return request.
  2. Email supporting evidence and images to info@georgedaviesturf.co.uk

What’s the process after I have registered my return request?

  1. Inspection: Returned goods will be inspected upon receipt by a senior member of our team to confirm condition and eligibility.
  2. Communication: A member of the Customer Service Team will contact you in writing with the outcome of the inspection and issue your refund.
  3. Refund Processing: Once approved, refunds will be processed within 14 working days, less the applicable restocking fee.

Please note: that customers are responsible for all return transportation costs unless the return is due to a confirmed fault or error on our part.

How do I cancel an order?

1. Eligibility for Returns

Returns are only accepted within 30 days from the date of delivery or collection. Products must be unused and, where viable, unopened and in their original, resalable condition. All returns must be authorised in advance by George Davies Turf LTD trading as George Davies Turf and Stone. Please contact our service team to arrange a return before sending any items back. Returns are accepted at the discretion of George Davies Turf LTD trading as George Davies Turf and Stone, and approval must be obtained prior to goods being returned.

2. Restocking Fee

All returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee, which will be deducted from any refund due. This fee covers the handling, inspection, and administrative costs associated with processing returns.

3. Non-Returnable Items

Products that have been used, cut, installed, or altered in any way are not eligible for return. Items that are damaged after delivery or not returned in a resalable condition will be billed at full price. Custom or special-order products cannot be returned under any circumstances.

4. Perishable Goods

Due to their nature, perishable goods such as turf cannot be returned or refunded once delivered. These products are living or time-sensitive materials that deteriorate quickly and are therefore non-returnable and non-refundable. Please ensure that all delivery details, quantities, and product requirements are correct prior to confirming your order.

5. Cancellations

Any order cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled delivery will be charged at full price. Cancellations made more than 48 hours prior to delivery may be accepted at the discretion of George Davies Turf LTD trading as George Davies Turf and Stone, although administrative or handling charges may apply. Once goods have been dispatched, the order is considered complete and cannot be cancelled.

6. Direct Deliveries

In some cases, orders may be fulfilled via direct delivery, where a third-party operator delivers goods on behalf of George Davies Turf LTD trading as George Davies Turf and Stone. Please note that direct deliveries do not adhere to our standard two-hour delivery window. Delivery times are managed by the third-party provider and may vary. If a direct delivery is accepted and unloaded, it is deemed complete and final. Should the order then be rejected for any reason after unloading, George Davies Turf LTD trading as George Davies Turf and Stone will not accept any financial responsibility, and the order will be charged in full. Customers are therefore advised to check all details, quantities, and access arrangements carefully before confirming acceptance of a direct delivery.

7. Faulty or Incorrect Goods

If you believe a product is faulty or has been supplied incorrectly, please contact us immediately. We will assess the issue and, where appropriate, arrange for collection, replacement, or refund.
