1 What this policy includes

At George Davies Turf, we are committed to maintaining trust of our customers and therefore we take privacy very seriously. This privacy policy will provide information regarding how we manage data: why we collect the data, how we collect it and the limited conditions under which the data is utilised.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

3 Types of data we collect

3.1 Google AdWords

We use Google AdWords for reasons which involve marketing and gaining exposure to the correct clients; we use a feature in AdWords known as ‘remarketing’, which simply allows us to reach the correct audience for our products and services. The third-party vendor ‘Google’ may show our ads across the internet, additionally, Google also shows ads by using cookies (refer to section 3.2 for further information). 3.2 Cookies

Cookies are small files with pieces of information stored that are stored your computer which provide information. Cookies are received through the visitation of a website, for example Google will store cookies to track search enquiries and website visitations based on Google AdWords to provide targeted ads that are relevant.

3.3 CRM system

We use software provided by Microsoft known as Microsoft Dynamics 365 as our CRM system to provide efficiency to our company. The CRM system will store information from our clients to provide the most optimal service for order processing. The data that is stored on our CRM system: customer name, contact number, home address and email address. The data is highly secure, additionally, this information is treated with strict confidentiality – the only information that we share is ‘name’ and ‘email’ in alignment with our email marketing campaigns service: MailChimp, click here to view their privacy policy.

With the required consent, from time to time we may send company information, promotional emails or request feedback from you via email. If you no longer wish to be contacted by us then you may unsubscribe from the campaign and ask for your data to be removed from our database at any time.

3.4 Enquiries

Website enquiries through the submission of the online form are sent straight to our office, the information provided will only be used within purpose to contact the client regarding the order enquiry; after the enquiry is answered, if the client chooses to go through with the order, information will be stored on the CRM system (refer to section 3.3 for further information) – if the order is not processed, all data regarding the client and their data is then disposed of securely.


4 How we use your data

4.1 Usage

We use your information to provide you with our services.

We will also use your information in the following ways:

1. To provide you with information regarding our Company, quotations and orders.

2. To liaise with our clients.

3. To provide you with billing information in relation to our Company.

4. To carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us.

5. To notify you about changes to our Company.

4.2 Internal record keeping

We may use the information to improve our products and services. We may periodically send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided. From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. We may contact you by email, phone, fax or mail. We may use the information to customise the website according to your interests.


4.3 When we share your information

We will not sell, rent or trade your Personal Information.

Other than as set out in this Policy, we shall NOT sell or disclose your personal data to third parties without obtaining your prior consent unless this is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy or unless we are required to do so by law.


4.4 Transfers of Data in Europe

Data protection legislation is harmonised throughout the European Economic Area (‘EEA’) which comprises the EU member states, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein. Countries outside the EEA do not generally have the same level of protection for personal information as those within the EEA. We do not anticipate the need to transfer personal data in Europe and certainly will not be engaging with the transfer of data outside the EEA.

By submitting limited personal data to us, you consent to our use of your data and of anyone you represent in the manner set out in this Policy (as amended from time to time, as described below) and you are responsible for ensuring that you have authority to consent on behalf of anyone about whom you submit data to us.

You can revoke any consent you have given us under this Policy at any time by contacting us and referencing this Policy in the email subject line, using the body of the email to say what consent you are revoking.


5 Access to your personal information

Under GDPR, the data subject has the right to access, amend or remove any of the data that we hold, however we may require proof of person for security reasons.
