Excavate the area and install a suitable MOT Type 1 sub-base. Compacted thoroughly for a solid foundation to work from.
Apply a full wet mortar bed to provide complete support beneath each slab.
Use a porcelain paving primer, such as the Azpects, on the reserves of each slab to improve adhesion and prevent movement.
Taking it one slab at a time, position each paving slab, maintaining the same joint space between slabs, and use a spirit level to check its levelness.
Once in place, apply a suitable porcelain paving grout, such as Azpects EasyJoint Porcelain, to create a strong, durable bond and a neat finish.
Once fully dried and cured, remove any installation residue, rinse clean and enjoy a beautiful porcelain patio, pathway or seating area.
