To achieve a successful, long-lasting artificial lawn, correct installation is key. This creates a flat, even surface for your lawn and, more importantly, ensures adequate drainage to prevent waterlogging, unpleasant smells, and mould.
Follow these 6 easy steps:
Remove plants, weeds, and debris, then rake over to create a smooth, stable surface.
Ensure your lawn slopes gently for adequate drainage, and that water can be removed effectively into the soil, plants, or drains.
Hard surfaces, such as concrete, require a cement-sand mix, while soil needs a gravel layer to aid drainage.
Lay a weed membrane to also support drainage and prevent weeds from growing through.
Lay your turf rolls in the same pile direction. Roll out carefully to avoid creases and butt the seams together.
Trim the edges or cut rolls to size by folding back the edges and carefully using a sharp blade for neat cuts.
Apply a two-component PU adhesive to the underside edge of the turf roll and press firmly into place.
Secure your Sirius artificial turf in place by inserting artificial turf nails or pins around the edge.
Brush pile fibres upright and remove/hoover up any loose trimmings.
