Our sleepers are New Softwood Green Tanalised (pressure treated) 200mm x 100mm x 2.4m. They come from UK sawmills using sustainably sourced timber that is specifically grown for use as construction grade timber and they have full FSC certification.

Although they start their life as green sleepers, they will fade naturally to first a honey brown colour and eventually end up silver/grey. This can be stopped by either restaining or repainting your sleepers regularly. These versatile sleepers are ideal for raised bedding and a range of garden applications. You can cut the sleepers using a circular saw, chainsaw or a hand saw; remember that any newly exposed cut surfaces will need treating with a wood preservative to avoid rotting. They are perfect for use as raised beds or mini retaining walls or steps to tier your garden.

After placing your order and selecting local pickup & date at checkout, your order will be prepared and ready for pick up on that date chosen. With live products (Such as turf) we recommended collecting it and laying it on the same day. Check our terms and condition for more details.

Our in-store pickup hours are 8:00am – 4:00pm on Monday to Friday. Please have your order confirmation email with you when you come.

Local delivery

Deliveries are normally made from 7:00am – 17:00pm on Monday – Friday. We will contact you via text message with the phone number you provided at checkout to notify you on the day of our arrival.

Do I need to treat garden sleepers?

As with any outdoor product, we recommend that you continue to treat your sleepers by restaining or repainting them. This will protect your sleepers from the weather throughout the year, however, you choose to use them.
