Complete Garden Renovation in Hertfordshire

The Requirements

This project, based in Offley, Hertfordshire, involved a full garden renovation with a clear and focused brief. The client wanted a low-maintenance outdoor space that would be easy to manage while still feeling modern, open, and well-designed. A key requirement was to incorporate as many reclaimed materials as possible, adding character to the garden while also taking a more sustainable approach.

Working with reclaimed materials brought its own challenges, particularly when it came to achieving a consistent layout and finish. Variations in size and condition meant the team had to carefully plan how each element would sit within the overall design. In addition, changes in level across the garden required thoughtful planning to ensure the space flowed naturally and remained practical to use.

To complete the project, 30 sqm Trident Turf was used to create a fresh lawn area that would help bring the whole space together.
 

The Outcomes and Results

The finished garden delivers a modern, low-maintenance space that feels both open and well-balanced. Despite the challenges that came with using reclaimed materials, the overall finish was worth it.

The resin-bound and brick pathways provide structure and definition throughout the garden, helping to guide movement and give the space a clear layout. The addition of fresh turf also plays a key role in softening the design, creating a wonderful outdoor space.
