“All in all we do not believe we could find a more consistent and committed supplier of our turf ... ”
The biggest problem with turf is managing to transplant it from the field to your garden and keep it in perfect condition.
During the winter months this is easy and the turf will last three or four days no problem at all. However, during late spring and summer the shelf life can be as little as 36 Hours.
Therefore during this period we endeavour to have the turf cut first thing in the morning and delivered to our yard around Mid – day. This enables us to deliver turf in the afternoon which means the turf is less than 8 Hours old. And the balance of lorry will be delivered the following morning so that everyone has a chance to lay the turf before it goes off.
Any balance is then refrigerated in our yard to provide our customers with option of fresh turf if they are a few short.
